Coastal Barge & Mooring, LLC is a full service mooring provider. CBM, LLC is one of the premier mooring company’s in Casco Bay, Maine. CBM, LLC sells, installs, inspects, repairs and moves boat moorings. CBM,LLC deals with granite blocks, steel anchors and helix mooring systems. All chain and shackles are domestic and we use pennants made in Canada.
Coastal Barge & Mooring LLC was founded in 1979 by William H. Blood. In the early days Bill was a full time biology teacher, father, and professional diver. He started this business out of a desire to help friends with their water related needs. Over time the business grew and eventually he retired from teaching, sold his commercial diving business and went full time with C.B.& M LLC. In July of 1999, his youngest son, John, joined the company. John, a U.S.C.G. licensed captain, has over 20 years of experience working on the water. In 2004, Richard Keen, Bills son-in-law joined the company. After teaching art for ten years Richard decided being outside and on the water was more suited to his interests.
CB&M LLC is now one of the principal mooring service providers on Casco Bay for commercial and recreational boaters. We specialize in mooring sales and service. In Spring of 2006 we launched the "Rock On"; a high speed heavy-lifting catamaran. This boat is used to deliver large granite moorings, mushroom and pyramid anchors. The “Rock On” is also outfitted to deploy helix style anchors. We have two high speed aluminum work boats, the “Silver Bullet & “Lydia Sue”. Bill's desire to help friends enjoy the ocean around us continues to motivate us in providing quality service to our customers.
